I have this site http://lineridercrazy.forumotion.net/ has the potential to get popular. I have done everything! I have talked to people personally, I have advertised on sites like this, I even have it on Google! But how long will it take? Does it always take this long?
Our users have posted a total of 3382 messages in 220 subjects thats the stats Thats Not bad. Little to hard to get to the forums still did not find emm. Does have a Very Good looking portal. Best of Luck
From what I'm gathering, your site was opened about a month ago. I'm just basing this on the date your forum rules was posted on.
It's a VERY long wait. No forum has ever enjoyed overnight success. Even if your site is on google, you can't guarantee it's going to be found. You need to advertise on many sites, build backlinks to get it higher exposure on Google searches.
Most of your new members in the first 3-4 months will come from advertising sites like these, advertising on forums with the same subject as yours, post exchanges with other forum admins, and friends you know or meet on other forums.
Get off a free host first of all, and get your own domain. Free hosted forums can be big but you'll have full control of your forum if you can get it self-hosted.
Then just build backlinks. It takes a LONG time to get your forum to be relevant, but in the meanwhile, just post on forums to advertise and do link/post exchanges.
Actually hcfwesker, that was when the forum rules were updated, NOT when I founded the forum. The forum began it's life in early January of this year...
