I am through with vB forever rant

So I launched my website (which is my name just add a dot com to it 😉) with vBulletin 5.... Uh man I ran into so many problems with it... I bought the license WAY back then when vB4 was out because it just seemed cool but now vB5 is just plain garbage. Everything is so easy to break. I think when vB5 was made they thought they had to add every single feature and ended up broke. I know it took them a few versions to even fix things they put out. I am so finished with vB forever its so bad.

I launch the site and one thing broke after another, it was awful and embarrassing to say the least. After some fiddling and fixing everything eventually the sign up process broke for no reason. It turned out it was an internal error with the human verification just plain broken, people were complaining that they couldn't sign up and pretty much abandoned of the site ever being created.

If there is a software I'm going to stay with, its Invision Power, its much easier to manage, its more beautifully structured and the community is alive more with mods and themes! Sticking with them forever.

I've always wondered, though, if it's the owner and not the software, no offense. I mean, myself, I've seen bad graphics on some and terrible problems with spam, but...

It can be the operator behind it. However it is also the devs at fault. vB 5 is a complete mess. They have all their pages and forums mixed in on one thing called "channels," vB 3 is still holding out as of today, but for many its very still buggy and the development and passion behind it is long gone.

Are you sure the current version of VB is still 5?

Version 5.3x more specifically, however the vB 5 in general is still not good. They are trying to fix it but to me its still a mess. No redeeming them.
