I created a cool browser game :)

I made a pretty cool browser game
It's called Geofall & it's pretty simple. I made it to learn HTML5 canvas better and prepare for another game I'm making this week 🙂

Have any of you ever created a game? If so, with what language / can we check it out? 🙂

• Smaller & Faster shapes earn you more points!
• Missing large or slow shapes causes you to lose more points!
• If your current points fall below 0, the game is over!
• Use your mouse (hovered over the game) to move around the bottom to catch shapes
• Prioritize & win 🙂

The game is designed so that the shapes spawn faster & faster as time goes on, until it becomes impossible. Your goal is to rack up as many points as possible (hi-score) before the game takes all your points away

When I was younger and first got into Club Penguin, I always wanted to create a rival game but never really could make it because I just didn't know anything about programming back then.

My highest with this current version is 788. At one point it was too easy, but I decided to make it so it pretty much gets impossible the further you go

Ah, yeah the trick is to start small !! I’m making a side scroller now where the blocks are randomly generated as you go. But instead of a full game I’m designing it so you go against one scripted enemy boss at a time. When you beat the boss, you move on to the next boss

Should be fun 🙂

haha yeah, it gets crazy fast. I decided to make it not go faster after a certain point. Once it reaches around 3 shapes spawned per second it stops getting faster. Still hard to maintain that speed, but should allow people to get better scores & play for longer 🙂

I would love to make something like that soon, but it is pretty difficult so right now I'm focusing on small games instead of taking on a project too large
