I cant make up my mind what kind of site I want I deleted..my RspsLand it had 100+ members now I wish I didnt...I know if I didnt delete it I be mad at myself later! What kind of site do I need to make Im confused. -🙁

Thats it I dont know theres alot of things and it confusing..

Well list some of them and you can start from there. Also, make sure what interests you know. Will interest you later in the future.

Xbox 360
Runescape Private Servers
Programming (such has php,html,java)

There already to many Xbox360 forums. So it would be hard to get it going and eventually it would get to the point of frustration, because of trying to compete with other ones.

Runescape - I would not know

Programming forums - There are a couple good ones out there that you would eventually have to compete with, but the are hard to start.

Well there is website designing..to..Forgot to put that. 😛

If you are a good programmer a programming forum would be a good idea to make, maybe a help one where users can come and get help from other users, you could also write up tutorials for newbies in php, I'm sure you'd get some users that way, if you promote it here I bet a few people would join to understand the forum script they are using more 🙂

I don't understand your problem.

You're wanting help to decide what forum to delete? Why do you want to delete your forum?

Go with whatever you're passionate about. Do you like sports, fashion, a specific video game? Just take whatever you like and make a forum about it -- be as specific as possible, and don't go for the "general" type of stuff, because they have all been done to death already.

If you like something enough, it'll be easy enough to post and talk about.

Try not to force it. If you can't think of anything, don't worry about it...

Very good point. I agree with you. If someone makes a forum about something they barely care about, then it will not turn out very well.

I think making a runescape private server site would be interesting.

Or maybe a runescape forum in general, but focus on the private server part.

The problem with making a Runescape related site, is that it's already been done. Games like Runescape have hundreds of fan sites, each with their own forum or some kind of community feature. Because the game has been established for such a long time you'd really stand no chance competing against all of the big boards.

Similarly to what Tecca said, if you can't think of something to make a forum about - don't worry. Don't make a forum for the sake of being able to run a community and feel the power, or take advantage of the other perks that come with running a forum. It should be something you're passionate about (but don't make a forum about your girlfriend)...something you think will generate a lot of interest and discussion, but more importantly if you're starting a community make it fresh, exciting and something totally extraordinary.

Nobody will want to see a Tech Support Forum, General Chat Forum, Gaming forum or promotion forum - they've all been done before. 😉

Very good analysis.

I agree 100% with Murder he Wrote wrote, don't just make one to make one. Do it out of love for a subject, it'll turn out better and your members will realize that the site owner actually cares.
