OK so I'm very confused right now. I've been working hard to make my forum as useful friendly and as useful as possible. That being said I do not understand what's wrong. What do I need to do to make my forum gain members (preferably rapidly?). When I tried postloop I got multiple low quality posts (like 3 words) and some were even spam. It was a bad experience. I've done the posting packages and the advertising on Forum Promotion but neither has been remotely effective. I also want a real user base. Posting here and gaining maybe 10 posts a month from FP doesn't cut it. For the past few days things have been improving and I've gotten between 35 and 45 posts a day. What can I do to start increasing the activity on my forum. The goal is to double daily posts so instead of 45 it would be 90 posts a day. What are some strategies other than post exchanges or paying for posts?

You're not going to gain members rapidly until the forum gets older and popular. I am currently advertising on FB, Twitter, tons of other forums, placing ads here, having my affiliate image posted on forums, and having my friends join. You just have to keep working hard and not give up. Are you using a MyBB forum? If so, get the MySEO plugin, that will help you too. When I advertise on Twitter, I had my own forum account instead of just using my personal one, I found something out recently. If you put @InformationLoop at the end of your posts, as long as you're following informationloop, they will retweet your tweet for you which will give you a ton of more traffic. I'm not sure if some of my new members have come from doing that, but I actually for around three or for new members in the past few days since I've been doing that.

Just keep working at it never give up, no one ever on the internet blew up over night, well not the ones that still are around. your building a community and it takes time, a lot of time. but use social media, try and meet as many people as possible get to know them then bring up your website in conversation once you know them you may be able to get them to sign up 🙂

It takes a very long time to build a successful forum. The fastest way isn't cheap, and involves buying and merging other sites into yours, and paying people to post. Otherwise though, I recommend doing exchanges first and foremost, and also promoting on Twitter and sites like this one.
