Jeannie is a genie in the bottle that was discovered in an island by an astronaut named Capt. Anthony Nelson. With the rescue, Capt. Nelson became Jeannie’s master who provides the fun with her magic. And what happens when the genie falls in love with the master? This tv show was a hit in the late 1960s. It starred Barbara Eden as the lovely genie and Larry Hagman is the astronaut master.

I remember this show a bit from the late 60s, I Dream of Jeannie- rescued from a bottle by a U.S. astronaut, a scantily clad genie named Jeannie becomes his slave and eventually falls in love with him.The series ran from 1965 to 1970.

I used to adore this show though I haven't watched it in years.

Loved this show when I was a kid. I am surprised they haven't done a newer version of it though it would be drastically different today because of how limited forms of mainstream entertainment have become.
