So which one is better? My Asus was very flimsy and after I dropped it, the monitor broke. So...now I have the new one!

Nice PC! The RAM is the only thing that is kinda bad because 2 GB is the minimum of Winodws 7 and probably won't run it as well as other computers. The space also could have been better than what's out, not trying to be rude or anything though. I think you still made a good purchase. 🙂 Is it a laptop or desktop?

It's a laptop, pretty much a netbook but not classified that because of its slightly larger screen size.

Running Windows 7 on 2GB? Ouch. I would look for an upgrade there, maybe around 4GBs.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on 1GB of RAM, and it is good enough for browsing the web, watching video files, playing music, office work, flash games, older low quality games and non-med-highend gaming tasks.

I'm not upgrading my RAM since I rather put the money toward a new computer since my computer is almost 4 years old, and I need a PC with more hard drive space, a better video card, and CPU.

Really? I thought minimum requirement was at least a gig. I can't imagine you can do much more than one or two things at a time?

1GB is the minimum requirement for RAM for Windows 7 home premium.

I usually have Google Chrome with multiple tabs open, Foobar 2000 music player, Bywifi online video accelerator, WinTV Cable TV recording app for recording my TV shows from my USB TV tuner, and sometimes a video player running, and my PC runs good enough speed to use the programs I listed without much noticeable slow down.

I also could run Ubuntu 10.04 in VirtualBox Virtual machine software within Windows 7 while running Camstudio to record my desktop.

I can actually have a lot of little low ram intensive programs running on my computer with 1GB. This is a screencast of my desktop with a ton of desktop customization programs like Deskscape animated wallpaper, Rainmeter, Bumptop, Iconized add-on for Virtuawin, Gadgets, Widgets RocketDock running on it, Opera,Avant Browser, Notepad, Google Chrome, Microsoft Security Essentials and SuperAntispyware and Camstudio screen casting. It did not run very fast, but it ran fast enough for me to record my whole desktop to show people on YouTube how much you can customized Windows 7 with the right software.

This is my desktop on my computer which only use 1GB of RAM on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I've heard that 2GB is the minimum, not 1GB.It might run worse, though. Just warning. All though I am surprised that Windows 7 requires so low system requirements, it just might not run better on older/worse machines. They have awesome 4GB PC's now-a-days.

What I like about Windows 7 is that it's such a good operating system for such low system requirements, I'm actually really shocked. I have 64 bit.
