Well, I can disagree with that. You work 8 hours a day, and only get $56 for it. I'd rather have those 8 hours to myself. 🙂

Ok, I disagree with you Shotgun. $7 an hour (about £5 an hour) is not bad pay at 17 (well that's how old MH told me he was anyway) and that's reasonable pay IMO. If you think about it $56 x 20 (let's just say Mod Hidden works 20 days a month)... that's over $1,000 a month which is very respectable at the age of 17. If you'd rather sit and do nothing rather then earn $56 then you obviously need to improve your attitude to life now or very soon.

Oh and congratulations on your new job. 😛

Well done, which company is it, least you have your foot in the door and earning some cash, the olny way is up now

$56 doesnt seem much for 8 hours, but nonetheless its better than nothing, congratulations Mod xD

Good job mate, don't worry, my web design job is only 20-30 hours a month on my states minimum wage which is like 7.50 an hour so 😛

You're quite ignorant for only looking at $1000/month. Do you even understand the measures he has to take to make that money? Clearly not, so let me calculate it for you.

If he works 20 days, that's 160 hours a month. 160 hours in a month for only $1000? That's terrible, and a tremendous consumption of one's time. He won't have any time to do anything else. Funny thing about your post is that you used age as a point. I'm the same age as him and can call out what's good pay and bad pay.

If you'd rather sit and do nothing rather then earn $56 then you obviously need to improve your attitude to life now or very soon.

How could you even judge my attitude towards life by a single post I made that merely states my opinion? I'll let you in on a secret - I make around $1000/mo by working 1-2 hours a day on the Internet. So no, I'm not just 'sitting' around. Oh, and I'm only 17 too, just like him. Why else do you think I'm able to launch new sites every week and own 50 domain names in my account?

With no income? If your on your own you'd understand you can't do that. If you have the opportunity, take it.

Anyways, congratulations on the new job! 🙂

I wasn't implying 8 hours a day of doing nothing. I said 'to myself,' which essentially meant for me to find ways to make money personally.

It's a start, that's what matters. I mean at a teenager's age, experience is more important than money. Also, do save at least half of your money. Don't get a job for a lavish lifestyle.

Not everybody has the same skill set as you do, Mr Green. He may not have the required skills to make money online. Even if he does, not every body likes to sit at a computer to make their money - otherwise I'd be banking right now instead of have joined the Air Force.

I work at 12-14 hours a day, and I still have time to do what I want online. It's all about time management and your personal attitude towards your job.

Everyone starts off somewhere.

That wasn't the point I was trying to make though. I was simply stating that $1000 in return for 160 hours of work is terrible, nothing else. It seems like the latter would agree.

Of course I know that everybody starts somewhere. Doesn't mean that reasonable comments can't be made.

Actually you are being the ignorant one. $1000 a month is great for a teenager who probably lives with his parents and has no bills to pay. Thats all profit. Also many people work 8 hours a day and have plenty of time left over to do things. If you forgot there is 24 hours in a day. He still has 16 hours left to have a life (since its summer time) and sleep plus 2 days off a week Im assuming. Also he may enjoy helping customers and is earning job experience and if he does well he can use this job and his supervisior a reference to get a better job in the future.

It might be true for a lot of people, but it's hard to get jobs these days, so it's actually not all that bad. I have a friend that had to leave the state just to get a job. He was even going as low as to work at a gas station even with a college degree.
