I sent two emails yesterday. One was inadvertently sent to all members (including inactive) and well was a typo where our email address was supposed to be placed in there, but it was left out. The second email was sent to active clients. I have been communicating with other web hosts to see how long they normally keep old client billing center accounts (even if they are inactive). I believe I will soon be deleting all old inactive accounts that have not been used or logged into for a few years.I no longer have any sites to have need of hosting, but I still am Admin on a site that uses your company. The site has been up without any problems for a year straight, I believe, but there has been lag some mornings. I don't know if that's the site's problem or a hosting problem?
Even though I no longer have a site with you, I received an email about back ups? I'm wondering how long do you keep back ups? If it's no longer there, you might want to go through and purge emails from the system?
When I did have a site, and had problems, all of my tickets were responded to quickly, and that was appreciated.
Our cron job will terminate an overdue account after 90 days. This includes any backups on that cpanel account. We retain the cpanel backup only for a few days (unless it is a monthly or weekly backup, then those are deleted when the next monthly or weekly runs). Our servers back up every single day, and we only retain a few days before they delete with a newer copy. If a client specifically requests that we retain a backup of their account for a little longer as a courtesy for them, I will manually create a copy of the cpmove and place it in a manual backup folder on our off site location.I'm wondering how long do you keep back ups?
I have noticed that our backup process has been taking longer than normal due to the amount of data being backed up daily, which may have been the cause of the slowness. I am working on reducing the amount of data being backed up; which should alleviate that long process.there has been lag some mornings. I don't know if that's the site's problem or a hosting problem?
I'm glad you guys are still a part of our hosting family. 🙂I still am Admin on a site that uses your company. The site has been up without any problems for a year straight
