Dear FP users and staff (and all concerned),

I hate to admit it, but I have lied to you. I’m done lying, and I just want a clean slate. I don’t really know any other way than to ask for your most sincere forgiveness you can allow before saying what I am going to say. *Draws a deep breathe*
Okay…here goes…

I’m not 21 years old, and I don’t work for the USAFASC (United States Air Force Space Command). Those pictures, are not actually me, but one of our family friends (whom I’ve already apologized to).

I’m not anything that I’ve said I am. At all, and there proves what parents teach their kids, “Not everyone is who they say they are online”. It also interferes with FP’s staying safe online rules.

I’m actually a 15 year old young man from a small town in California.

Although I lied about my age and job, which is dishonorable, I am still reliable and I hold a higher level of maturity unlike most teens my age.

I ask for your sincere forgiveness after reading this, and hope that you will accept me back into the community.

I want to ask forgiveness personally from Sshadow, Tindris, Mr. BreeZy, and all my other friends that I have conferred and become friends with including Rick Ace, and a few others.

Again, this is very hard for me to say, and I hope that I can restart on a new page with all of you.

Thank you,
Jake™

I am glad that you finally released this information. I understand that you were protecting your age but when you go saying that you are in the USAF, that is a bit too far.

As I told you before, people are putting their life on the line and you claim that you are in the services. I am going to say that is not right.

Be careful what you say.

Anyways, I forgive you.

I don't know why, but for some reason, I never believed you were in the air force. I'm guessing you are unemployed completely then? It doesn't really matter. I am fifteen years old as well, so we're the same age. It's good that you have decided to be honest. It's not like you're the first to lie about your age though, teenagers lie about their age online quite often. So, you certainly have my forgiveness. People may question your reliability though. I hope to see you around the forum.

It does take some guts to admit your mistakes, which you did. Anyone who admits their mistakes and wrongs should be allowed to be given another chance, but not let the past be forgotten.

Though I do not really know you and have seen you only a few times around here, I think you did the right thing.

I'll still be around the forum, and through more interaction, I hope to rebuild peoples trust and reliability. Thank you for your forgiveness CMT.

and thank you Volux.

Wow Jake 🙁

I forgive you of course as you have always done right by me 🙂

I have seen this happen to others as well my brother in particular. You start with one lie and it kind of snowballs. It can be very stressful trying to keep up with it and unhealthy. I am glad you have decided to come clean and hope you learn something from this 🙂

I have Sshadow. Sorry for lying. Thank you for your forgiveness.

Its ok! Everything is alright, first crime of a U.S. Navy sailor, is too lie.....good thing you are not a sailor 😛

Where did you get that fact?

It's the internet, tons of people use it too create their own persona. No need too apologize

My dad who was in the navy for 26 years.

I don't mind you lying about who you are, everyone does it, but lying about being in the military crosses the line for me as well. I will find it hard to trust you in the future, and you will have to earn that trust from me.

It's very common for people to misrepresent their ages and/or occupations on the internet. Nothing was harmed, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. 🙂

I don't get the big deal about people pretending to be people they aren't on forums. Like big whoop, you're 6 years younger than you said you were and you're probably still in high school. The only big deal about somebody pretending who they aren't is if they are really under 13, violating COPPA.

I have a confession to make: I'm not really Kim Jong-il. I'm not Kim il-Sung or that weirdo Kim dude that's in charge of that country these days either. I'm a bored college (university for those non-USA people) student who spends copious amounts of time on a forum who's genre doesn't apply to me any more. I am not in charge of a country with developing nuclear technology, instead I am occasionally in charge of a few stoned useless college students that work in a fast food restaurant. I am not responsible for a famine killing a large amount of my country's people, instead I have a closet full of snax and a refrigerator stocked with juice, milk and Gatorade.

I don't pay attention enough to remember everyone's back story, so I didn't even know that you were supposed to be a 21 year old air force person..
Anyway, why feel bad? Its not going hurt us either way. You should have kept up the role playing. 😛

Done worry about it Jake. And when you say you are 21 years and you seem to have maturity, it won't be a great thing (as such maturity is needed for a 21 year old). But if a 15 year old has maturity, its definitely a good thing. So, you have no need to pretend about your age.

And no one gets harmed because of your lie, so its not a big deal. I really appreciate you confessing about your mistake. It will surely help you earn back trust. 😀

Good luck.

How do we know he is really a 15 year old now though? 😛 This could just be a new persona to keep him entertained. For all we know he could be a 42 year old woman from Russia. Nobody really knows who anyone is on here. 😛
