Ok, first off I dislike your move to leave US to go to Sweden for a server. Stupid if you ask me. There are rules about what you can't have uploaded on US servers, though are those rules so outrageous? No, it's stuff like CP and other malicious forms. So, unless you are deciding to do any of those things, why even bother? I agree with people about where I pay a close to $180 for a two year unlimited hosting contract. Why? because I can pretty much host what I want.
Now, if you do make your own /b/.. which is stupid and i hate /b/tards anyways cuz they annoy the crap out of me... you will need WAY OVER 1GB space and especially 30GB bandwidth if you decide to make it popular. Though, even 4chan is legal in the US. They have rules against CP and stuff.. which is smart to do. Because if you decide to stay her and host your stuff across seas, they can trace it back to you eventually break down your door to find a bunch of CP on ur computer.
So, you say you "probably wont" but the fact your going to move there just for this sever? I am guessing u will do something of the illegal type.

EDIT: ok I just read your post above me 😀 sorry. Anyways, you have to read your hosts "fine print" they all have terms READ THEM. Some hosts are more easy on some stuff. Because you might find some US hosts that will have you link up to those warez sites. Just not be able to hold that content on their servers. Idk I just wouldn't move for a server imo.

Well to start off, I wont be hosting any CP, thats illegal there as well. Mostly what the move would be useful for is a torrent tracker. While illegal in the USA, its more thna legal there. Its also illegal to LINK to warez, or warez sites in the USA. Perfectly legal there. Say I wanted to start a MP3 blog, cant do that on an USA server.
Of course youll be needing more space than that, they are flexable with their hosting plans, the prices on the front are simple guidelines, I have a friend who hosts with them.
My own 4chan? Doubt id even bother to try that. However, if I wanted to add a "Share Software" section to Blue Humor, id need a Swedish server. Heck, even if I wanted to host a picture making fun of a police case, id need a Swedish server. USA laws are very strict in certain areas. A normal person, a normal site would never feel them be strict. FP doesnt need to worry about the laws, they arnt hosting anything questionable and have no need to. A Humor forum, a Torrent Tracker, they could very well need hosted elsewhere simply because they could be taken down at any point.

They also own an uncensored image uploading service, and a completly free blogging service where you can say anything you like, anything. "As long as you don’t break any Swedish laws in your blog, we will defend it."
The money aside, its about being able to do as you please without the fear of being taken down, its about feeling safe where you are at all times.

There will be no CP, im not a sick minded freak. Another reaosn why torrent tracker owners stay as legal as possible. If I owned a tracker chances are I wouldnt seed to it, and I wouldnt download from it.
