The Forumer Support Boards are hosted with vBulletin instead of Forumer. They don't even support their own software.

Forumer don't have their own software. They host IPB and PHPBB boards.

What's just as funny is that IPBfree uses one of the most recent versions of IPB while they offer one of the last free versions of IPB (which, in my opinion, is a pretty outdated software).

I never recommended remotely-hosted forums anyway. You can easily find free cPanel host and host your own free forum.

If you have an issue with a hosting company, Forum Promotion isn't the place to bring it up for discussion. 'Public lynching squads' are not permitted in this community.

I seriously doubt that was the intent. The thread seems to point out the irony rather than any serious problem.

I always find it amusing when people or companies use their competitors services rather than their own. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it? If their service is not good enough for themselves, why should it be good enough for you?

If this thread violated any FP guidelines, it would be locked by now. I posted a quick warning because threads like these can go from constructive to abusive in a few posts. 😱

vBulletin is a more professional software, that's why they use it I guess 😉 And also they host phpBB forums and IPB, so which software would they use?

Don't see how it's really funny, you can't expect them to host vBulletin forums 😛

Well, I personally preferred their IPB. It wasn't fantastic, but it did what I wanted for the 3 years I had my forum there...

You know... until they put the ugly, giant forumer ad at the bottom of every forum they hosted. :S

No, that wasn't my intent at all. xD
