As seen on my new blog, My Malfunction
Well, seeing I recently got a new computer, I thought I would dig out my old old OLD steam account, buy some new games, and go crazy. It turns out, it was a very very VERY bad move. Seeing my sister fails at the glory, that is the internet, she managed to get a virus... through our CONNECTION! Is that even possible? Appearently it is.
I was infected with the isass.exe malware/trojan, which gave my steam password, to some douchebag hacker. Not only did I lose my steam, I lost my hotmail, paypal, (Only had 30 cents) ZoomPannel, and Forumotion Support account. They aren't all that important to me, so I will stick to ranting at those fags at steam.
What once was an amazing site, filled with beautiful deals, such as the Orange Box, and ValvE Complete Pack, has crumbled, putting it's users not before, but AFTER profit. My friend, Shane had to send a support ticket through his account (Because he is awesome like that) and it's once fast support system, is now as slow as rock hard turd, sliding down the toilet in winter. It took FIVE DAYS before my ticket was noticed.
Steam asked me to PHOTOCOPY one of my CD keys. They gave me a list with the liable games that this works with. My games (Portal, Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, ect) weren't on the list. We sent them a response, telling them that they infact MUST have records of my original email I signed up with. They can easily reset my password, and send a new one to the original email, right? WRONG: Appearently, it is against their terms.
Now I am on a wild goose chase, trying to make money, seeing I will NEVER get my account back. Recently, I found a way to exploit this site, called forum promotion. By offering my services, posting on other peoples websites, forums, and blogs, I will get paid. Currently, I have $10 in my new paypal (only been 3 days of posting) which means I still have a long way to go before I can buy some games for my new steam. Oh well. If steam wants to play hard, I will play hard.
