I need help!

Hello,

I am currently hosting off of IP Boards due to my developer recommending the software. However, I find that IP Boards is not as user friendly as Xenforo. I am looking to migrate. Would you guys recommend this? I am using cPanel and my developer could assist me in migrating if I wanted too. I see that most of every plugin you would have to pay for, is there a way to get free plugins? If so, where could I go?

Do you guys recommend Xenforo for a smaller community, and being hosting through cPanel?

One you purchase Xenforo there is an option to download and install the importers which should have the one for IPB. From there it's pretty straight forward on the directions to follow. Just make sure to read the files so you know what you need before starting. Here is a link that might help you https://xenforo.com/docs/xf2/importing/. Moving forum software really has nothing to do with importing to another software. You will need to create another directory (forum, community) to upload the files to, as well as create a new database.

Some plugins are free most are paid. Just depends on you community. I don’t use the many plugins on my forum.
