New Arrival
Oh, it's not those types of questions. Very well, carry on.

Family: Some
Favorite foods & drinks: the 'za (that's "pizza" for those of who might not be in the know) and pretty much anything else that's edible (I do not consider liver or cottage cheese to be included in that group) As for drinks, root beer and horchata (not mixed, mind you, but separately). Also, I have occasional cravings for dihydrogen monoxide and generally avoid alcohol (nothing against those who drink it, I just haven't found anything that tastes better with it than it does without it), as well as caffeine and monosodium glutamate (migraineur).
Favorite bands/music: Eclectic tastes that largely depend on my mood at the moment. I prefer slower music when I'm relaxing, upbeat music when I feel like celebrating or I am working. I care more about how good a song is more than I do about what specific genre it belongs to.
As to specific bands/artists, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, Big Audio Dynamite, the Tom Tom Club, and Laurie Anderson all score big.
Favorite authors/books (you didn't ask, but I'm gonna tell ya anyway): The bible (although I think most of you could have figured that out by my sig). As for fiction, Terry Pratchett (couldn't find a Discworld avatar, which is why I have a HHGTU avatar rather than that), Douglas Adams, Grant Naylor, and David Weber's Honor Harrington series (haven't really read much of anything else by him). Also like stuff that deals with historical myths and urban legends, like Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Loewen and Endless Enemies by Jonathan Kwitny and everything I've read by Richard Shenkman (although I've found some of his stuff flawed). Also like Richard Lederer's "Anguished English" series of books. Beyond that, I have a huge collection of books regarding religion and apologetics.
Interests/sports: Theology, philosophy, logic and logical fallacies, love, life, celebrating life, trying to figure life out. Oh, and I'm a huge Miami Dolphins fan.
One final note before I turn the thread over to replies: While my sig says that I'm a Fundamentalist, I use the word in its original sense rather than the modern caricature it has become in the popular mind. Social conservatives like Jerry Falwell, Pat Buchanan, and Oral Roberts most emphatically do not speak for me. Not only am I not a literalist, I doubt there really is such a thing, nor am I a legalist.
With that said (or at least written), are there any questions?
