For those that don't know, IcyBoards was a free forum software platform that was based on MyBB, where it was a major talking point during the ZetaBoards/Tapatalk fiasco, until sadly it was shut down for good on 31st July 2018.
The reasons for it was that it suffered declining user activity across all forums hosted under it, and also due to the cost of having its servers run and remain operational.
Fortunately at that time, Spork (the person behind it) contacted John of Jcink where all forums under IcyBoards would easily be converted under that platform.
Had it remained, I personally would've liked to run a forum under it considering that I have some familiarity with MyBB over the years so when I heard the news that it was shutting down, I was downhearted, and a part of me didn't want to move over to Jcink and wanted to quit forum ownership/management completely, especially when I used ZetaBoards for ten years then.
Anyway, what was your opinion on it while it lasted? Was it any different to MyBB itself? And did you once have a forum running on it?
