Hey I'll let you guys steal some of my ideas for websites as I never find enough time to make a network of sites.
Should It Chart? shoulditchart.com is available and would be great for making a unique music website. Basically my idea is members can vote if they think a new song will/should enter the music charts. You could also add a forum where members can review songs, share their own and just talk about music.
Global Forums: I don't see many forums at all where there are sections for many languages, my idea would involve some custom plugins and things. You go to the forum and you select your country and it goes to that countries board and it saves those settings as a cookie but when you register it's just default but when you register to the english board you're registered to all the boards and you can choose to visit the other country boards when you wish and the stats from all of the country boards go towards one.
