Site Info: This is probably like my 100th forum but I'm determined to keep this one for good as I now run XenForo which I got in their Christmas sale, really like the software and I think the forum looks overall good, but I'd like some tips and suggestions so I can improve it to users likings. 🙂

If you prefer a darker theme we have that, you can select the dark version in the bottom left corner.

Congratulations on purchasing a XenForo license! That's a step in the right direction. You've got a clean style. The logo looks decent, but I feel like it kind of clashes with the light style. It matches the dark style though. I think you should definitely focus some time on getting some content on your forum. Very few people will take the time to register on a community with a total of four posts. I'd definitely encourage you to try and do some post exchanges, or perhaps request a post package from our Package Team.

Hi all,

This morning I woke up to the forum being completely broken, it appeared it was an addon I downloaded from the xenforo resource section and it appears to be dodgy and messed everything up so I had to restore a backup which was taken when I finished setting up the forum, so pretty much my 3 registered users and their posts are gone...

Lesson learned: Test an addon before installing on a production forum.

EDIT: @Cameron Taylor I added a light version of the logo for the light theme, hope you like it. 🙂

Good luck with the site 🙂. Just thought I would share a few suggestions - you don't need so many forums especially for support. If you really want an archives section, combine them all into one. The support (from community and staff) can also be one section. Announcements, informational and changes can also be combined into one forum. A few more gaming based forums might be wise as well.

The logo looks good but a more gaming related one might do nicely, if you need help with it, feel free to message me. Remember to stick with it and don't be disheartened. Good forums take a while to start and grow 😉

Flexile is the cleanest theme I could find plus it comes with a dark version, most themes don't come with dark versions.

My biggest problem is finding the right theme, to me, I think the theme is important as users will be mainly focusing on the appearance of the forum.

Free if it was possible but none of the free ones are to my satisfaction, looking into purchasing a theme. Thing is they can be quite expensive and I don't have much money so I have to be careful.

Back in 2015 i purchased a theme for my forum when i used to work on running them and 3 weeks later i closed it that theme was about $180 Custom made- It included everything i needed.

I would maybe get someone to make a custom one for you it does cost alot but if you are willing to spend the effort on the site then it may be worth it and it might not cost as much as mine did. I am not sure on the prices these days.

I hated using themes that people have already used i wanted something new and efficient.

What kind of budget would you say you have for a theme? There are some beautiful premium gaming based themes out there for XenForo.
