Ideas for a Pokemon site?

Your site seems to be ok for me.
Just be sure to continue promoting your site into various forums and Pokemon related sites/blogs. You should also be up-to-date with the current Pokemon news and trends.

Honestly, I am not one to say as most members would dis-agree, but I think Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, et cetera are for kids, sorry to all that play it. I would love to give tips but you would probably just dis-agree with most of them which I have but my main is just to promote everywhere possible.

Just a simple thought. Did you submit to the search engines? I don't know the links but the main ones google/yahoo/bing, I've been told you should submit to on a monthly basis. (I use the 1st as a reminder).

If you'd like feedback from your existing members on how you can improve send a mass email saying that you want to improve the site with them in mind. Could they please (re)visit the site and provide feedback on what could be improved.

I was once tought it's good to provide a way to be contacted on a fourm, website, blog, etc. This way if users have feedback, problems, etc. they have a way they can reach you, so be sure to extend yourself by providing a way of contact. You don't have to place your email address, it just as to say something like contact me. That way your users can reach you.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with this site but there's a pokemon site called http://www.serebii.net/

They keep to the latest information on pokemon so you can keep up to date on your reasearch there.

Be sure to browse the site and see if you can find ways on how you can be different from them. Sure they've been around longer, but I'm sure you can find ways to be unique compared to them.

Also, you'll want to be sure you have topics that can start great discussions, like instead of opening your threads with sentences, start with question. This leaves it open for your members to responed and opens the playing field for open discussion.

I can't think of anymore tips of the top of my head, but if I find anymore I'll let you know. I wish you best of luck with your pokemon forum. May it do well.

Andy...

Also If you can, try to make the forum look as much like pokemon as you can w/o losing your ablity to monitor your features of the forum. That might give it a "pokemon home-y" look to new visitors and it's just more "attractive"...

There are some really big successful pokemon sites out there--look at the top or near the top of Forum topsite 😛

The Pojo also got its start as a pokemon forum. They were later able to expand into other related categories as well.
