Ideas for a Promotion Forum

Don't make a Promotion Forum.

Instead, create a gaming, general chat, whatever forum you like except a promotion forum. Then have a section where you get to promote your forum/website.

It's a good idea because no one will honestly want to join a site that's new right? If his/her is the second member joined and promote his/her site, site not going to get some posts because there's only 2 people in the promotion forum.

Contrary to common belief, nobody will sign up to your site just to promote their forum there. If people want to promote their site they'll either optimize it properly and get it ranked in search engines, or come to promotion forums like here, promotion source, wherever...

The owner of a webmaster forum (for example) isn't going to join a new games forum to promote his site in the promotion section. So many forums have tried this method, and it rarely works.

I never join forums to promote anything (unless it is specifically a promotion one like this), only if they interest me.

A Gaming Admin from another site joins a general chat forum. In that general chat forum, there's a promotion section. So he promotes his forum there... and there will be a lot of members that joined the general chat forum, which is good. Because the people in the general chat forum can see his gaming forum thread and see whether they'll join or not...

I also thought that.

I think people need to stop making Promotion Forums unless they know what they’re doing, have unique service, advance hosting, TLD, customize style, and can show they are not going to give up after a week.

Promotion forums have gotten stale. No wonder all the big promotion forum owners have either closed, quit or sold off their forums.
(although I would have kept mine open if I had the means to continue to run..)
