My other promotion forum was... dead. 😛 Should I create another promotion forum with a different name and link or create a forum with another genre? Comments and Suggestions please!

Honestly...you should make a forum because you either have a passion for something and want to meet like-minded people, or start a forum to solve a problem.

To me, it sounds like you just want a forum for the fun of it. You asked if you should start another promotion forum, although you already answered that in your first sentence by saying "My other promotion forum was... dead".

Unless you're totally committed and fully interested in the forum you start up, it won't succeed.

I agree with Christan. Besides if your other Promotion forum was dead what makes you think a new one won't be? You just gotta stick in there and keep through the good and bad 🙂.

I dont understand when you say its dead...yet are eager to jump into starting another.
It seems to me that you gave up easily on the first forum, and i dont think people will dedicate there time to a forum that closes on whim.

I agree with the others, JakJak. If you're totally committed to your forum, you really should work on keeping up with advertising and things like that. If you're not totally commited, I wouldn't even bother starting up with another forum. Forums don't grow over night, you know. I'm getting some active members on mine, but that doesn't mean I'm going to quit advertising, because I'm not going to quit. You decide what's best for YOU. If you want to start another forum, by all means, go ahead, but if you don't feel like you can handle it anymore, then just stick to being a member of forums rather than actually running one. Some people are meant to run forums, and some aren't. You just use your best judgement, and try to figure out what you think is best for you.

Everyone has agreed with everyone in this thread, and I agree as well. If your last one was "...dead",
Are you sure if you create another this new one wont be?

If you really want one and will be committed, have another go, but I don't think your members will follow
you because people do dislike having to sign-up to a new forum when the last one "died".

As I have said before. Some people are fit to be admin, while others should just be members of forums.

I don't think you should run a forum at all myself. Especially as it seems your running one for the sake of it.
