I'm giving my website a spring clean for the new year and I was just wondering is there an easy way to identify any images that I have on my web servers that are no longer being displayed on my website?

I know there's been a lot of images where i've taken down the display but never removed it from the server. And they gradually take up a lot of space. Is there any easy way to identify them?

My best bet would be to try and click on some of the links on your own. If you get a lot of server errors, or if you have an advertisement section and some of the forums seem to be shut down, account suspended, account terminated, whatever, then those can probably be archived. I'm not so sure about image links, though, although I think if it's stuff like Photobucket or something similar, I'm sure the same cirriculum applies.

Sorry for any spelling errors. I'm not feeling good this afternoon.

I did this at one of my last forums where it was an advertising one. Had to manually go through myself. Pretty tedious.
