I don't participate in contests on forums, but for those who live for that sort of thing, and like Gampro said, the way the economy is, I'm sure a $10 prize would be better than nothing at all. I can only imagine how other Webmasters are suffering because of the way the economy is. Some unemployment rates in some places are just ridiculous, it'd be hard to hold a contest with cash prizes involved even if you had the best intentions available. But VIP access is definitely a good idea. We did that for our first ever contest on Chatting Time. Didn't spark too much of a interest but if I were to try my luck with holding a contest again, that'd probably be one of the only things I have to offer, as I'm not exactly getting big paychecks at the moment myself.
