If WW3 were declared?

If World War 3 was declared it would probably affect everyone in some way because the world is so connected. Even if the fighting wasn’t happening here, we would likely see problems with the economy, higher prices, shortages of things like fuel or food, and more security measures. Since I’m in the UK we would definitely feel the effects, and the US would too because it’s a major global power.
Page is spot on the whole world would feel the affects. The United States economy would tank even more than it currently is, and the threat of Russia using nuclear weapons would probably come into play again. We all should probably start prepping for things just in case this happens.
If the US, Russia or China are involved I doubt I'd bother because aside from a collapsed economy, there would be little or no food, no clean water and no electricity. That's the best case scenario. If the war goes nuclear your best option would be to take one in the face.
The film 'Threads' made in 1984 is said to be a pretty accurate representation of the consequences of a nuclear war in Britain. It's a once seen never forgotten experience that should be mandatory viewing for everyone.
A true WW3 scenario is much further than most people think. It would take 2/4 of US/China/Russia/India, with US vs China as the most likely (Taiwan as a tipping point). Russia is much weaker than their state sponsored media will let on due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, and China/India have little reason or seeming ambition to go to war with anyone right now. Both of their countries seem much more interested in rebuilding themselves vs nation building.
WW3 would be disastrous. People forget what WW2 looked like across the US and the world. Food ration, fuel rations, people of the same race as we were at war with (Japanese) being put in forced labor camps indiscriminately, gold was illegal to own, etc. War would literally turn the lights and AI chat boxes off of a large part of the US and Europe - and that’s something the people by and large wouldn’t accept for very long at all.
