If you had $250,000,000 what would you do with it? Invest? Buy a house? Get out of debt? Go to college?

WIth me, I would buy some land and build myself a good size house with a garden and some other things that would be nice to have (personal theater and library would be two things I would love to own). Then I would invest $150,000,000 into stocks, and then use the rest to start my own business.

$150,000,000 could buy you a TON of stock in WeTheGamers loool xD

On a serious note, I would buy a large parcel of land somewhere that I could hunt, fish, camp, ride the ATV's and snowmachines around on, and those types of things. I'm a huge outdoors junkie so anything and everything I could do I would. I'd likely build a chalet-style home on that land, overlooking a lake if possible, so that it could be shared and enjoyed with family and friends. I'd probably invest a little as well, though I would help out more than anything, with charities and the setting up of homeless shelters or low-income housing as there's definitely a need for more of those types of places.

  • Buy a nice apartment in Bergen, Norway
  • Buy a nice apartment in Lisbon, Portugal
  • Furnish them both with fancy handmade designer furniture
  • Buy a Frida Kahlo original
  • Put some into a startup of my own
  • And the rest goes into other investments

There is a lot I could do. I could invest some in the stock market, with hiring a stockbroker. Then I will some to charity, because I'm a nice person. Put some money away for my will and for when I die, then my family will be looked after. Give some to family and friends. Buy a few houses in different countries. There is a lot I could do.

Truthfully $250,000,000 is literally life changing. You could do pretty much anything... If I'm honest I'd take $5m to the Casino and put it on red or black

That is risky, I wouldn't do that. I don't like gambling at all.

Buy a house with a room I can turn into a library
give some to my children / grandchildre
and put rest in bank to live on

never work again, i would let my money work for me from investments and what not

That's fair enough everyone has there own opinion however, I'd only gamble what I can afford to lose.

Well, that's fair. I don't mind gambling if people know they can accept the consequences. But the thing that bothers me when people aren't ready for the consequences if you don't win.

I'd keep it a secret and live my life as I normally would. I just would never have to stress about money again, which would be amazing.

Launch another game project, move to Canada, buy a house on a lake ...with a boat and a Model X.

Then maybe start my own WISP.

Well, if I put all of that in the bank, even at 0.01% interest, I will get $25000 per year which is a pretty solid income so I will retire and find something fun to do. I could also invest into property and get an income through renting. There is just so much you can do with this money.

I wouldn't invest into stocks because its too risky and with this amount of money, I won't need to so I will go for safer options.

This is how people lose everything after winning the lottery. I heard a statistic a while ago and I forget exactly what is was, but a surprisingly large number of people go broke after winning the lottery.

People are mad, when they win the lottery. Money turns people into idiots basically. Those who lose all their money, have no sympathy from me. It's usually their own fault and they have to accept the consequences if something goes wrong.

As much as it might appear that getting a large sum of money all of once is a good thing, the truth is oftentimes the opposite. The shock from the sudden change in income will oftentimes mess most people up as they have no time to cope to the change and oftentimes end up making foolish decisions as all the hesitation that often came with not having a lot of money is gone so you end up just spending money on things you would never even considered buying beforehand because you no longer have any fear over not having enough to make it.

It's not to say it can't end up well for you but the odds are clearly stacked against that being the case.

I also noticed that seems most people seem to work at a job only for the money and not because it is fulfilling in any way. It's not to say there is a problem with money being one of the reasons why you work where you work but to make it the ultimate reason you work is rather sad in my opinion.

I honestly wouldn't want all that money as I fear it might change me into something I don't want to be and I rather not risk having that happen as often that sort of change is subtle and not picked up until it is too late.

Not only that but when you come in to that type of money, all kinds of relatives and cooks come out of the woodwork looking for handouts or "loans" that never go repaid. For a lot of people the dream soon turns to a nightmare.

I'm a very simple person, so that much money I could live on the rest of my life easily. I'm not in any debt, so I don't have to worry about that. Here's some things:

- Take 10% and give to various charities. ($25,000,000)
- Take 50% and talk to my financial advisor about investing it for retirement. ($125,000,000) After both of these, I would still have $100,000,000.
- I would still keep my job, but cut down to part-time, only doing around 2 days a week as something to do. Many people say they would just retire and I get that. But that's not me, I got to work.
- Buy my own house & small farm, then rent out the farm to make income off it to. This way, I still make money, just in case.
- Buy myself a new car or 2.
- Go to every place on the planet I want to go.
- Give some of it to people I know who are in bad financial shape to give them a hand. Not a lot of it, but a small amount just to give them a hand.

upgrade my kpop forum to the max with the most awesome software and do the most awesome kpop giveways for fans featuring real expensive merchandise etc

that's one obvious thing that would be a complete dream come true if i had a lot of money....

other than that i would get myself a drivers license and a car.... buy my mom her dream house... go on a lot of trips so i can see the world (i really want to see certain places, incl japan, south korea, australia, america and few more)
get my dog the best care as right now she has got a lot of skin problems 🙁 .... also get a second dog and probably another cat and some gpigs....
and of course also get myself my dream house

oh and start up my own company, probably something involving kpop 😛

I'll buy a fancy house with a moderately sized lawn for my self. I'll also buy a good car and plan a vacation overseas with my family. All the rest of the money goes into my bank account as fixed deposit. I'll utilize the interest I get a month for my day to day activities and requirements.

I'd budget it out a buy a house for me and my family along with a car, I would save what I needed and the rest I help others in the community that need it.
