vb is good but a bit confusing and the acp looks abit ugly.

IPB looks really good from a user point of view and acp point of view aswell.

In terms of interfaces and the overall look / feel of the software / skins I would have to choose IPB. It's all fun and games looking pretty, but for functionality and professionalism I'd go for vBulletin.

Depends on the board I owned. ~razz~

I don't really have an opinion in which I would get. I'm Happy with PhpBB3, but if I had to choose I would go with vBulletin. I have some experience on it and there are some features I like there.

vBulletin hands down. I really do love the software.

However, if I was offered an IPB license, I wouldn't turn it down, that's for sure. IPB is nice, but I honestly just prefer vB.
