I like some of the culture from there and the history can be beautiful and sad. The people have suffered greatly because of evil men. Back in the 70s, there was a guy from our school district who visited the USSR before it broke up into separate countries and he gave a huge presentation on his experience. That really impressed upon me that I needed to distinguish the people from the government.
