Okay, so when I originally had Promotion Fox transferred to another host onto a new MyBB forum (from Forumotion), the forum was set up with 'admin' and my old account was seperate.
So I merged the two.

Now, because the 'admin' is merged into my account, the forum admin panel won't let me upload ads (something only the owner can do), and it doesn't know me as the owner...

Help, please?

Go into file manager -> inc -> config.php -> then go down to where it says:

/**
* Super Administrators
* A comma separated list of user IDs who cannot
* be edited, deleted or banned in the Admin CP.
* The administrator permissions for these users
* cannot be altered either.
*/

And where it has:
$config['super_admins'] = '1';

Replace the '1' with the ID of your account.

I'm not really sure where the file manager is...
It's on a 7uw host, by the way.

My computer's antivirus rejected it. :S
What anti virus are you using lol... If it is blocking filezilla I highly suggest getting rid of it and replacing it with something better. for a free one avast or avira for paid kaspersky.

anyways what fb said is what you need to do.

It's paid for, McAfree or Anti-Malware.

And I'm not sure where the file manager is?

Ahh good old McAfee,full of false positives. you should switch to something else.

Either that or see if you can force allow filezilla to run as it is a safe program and you will need it to do what you are wanting.

Just let it download it. I have it on my computer.

Very safe, very awesome!

If you use Windows 7, you don't need FileZilla. It has a built in FTP software and it is much faster and easier.

Uhmm windows has had a built in ftp client for awhile I know it dates all the way back to xp for sure. However back then you had to install a few extra things from the disc with xp.

FileZilla is still a better option due to its extra features,like able to connect to multiple ftp servers at once.

Yeah it did. But all the ones before Windows 7 sucked. Badly. And you can connect to multiple servers at once with the built in client too?

Oh really now, I could have sworn it disconnected your active session before connecting you to another.

Well still I prefer filezilla 😛.
