Today I decided I was going to get my old Pentium III back up ( Dinosaur Comp < ( RAWR!) ), but Im going to be installing crunchbang on it 🙂. So, now Ill have my netbook (Reasonably new, 1.6ghz, 2gb ram, 150gb HD ) and an Old Comp, that I will most likely use for movies and some other stuff.

( Only thing bad about this, is I have to use my netbook's touchpad )

What are the specs on the machine. I bet you could probably get something better then crunchbang on it. I bet something like debain lxde or opensuse lxde would do fine.

OR better yet you could try freebsd or slackware.

Man old computers makes me feel so naughty..

Its 800mhz with like half a gig of ram xD
Oh yeah that baby can do great with many distros. I think even freebsd would do well.

My suggestions -

Debain LXDE Edition

A custom build of Opensuse or Opensuse LXDE edition.

Puppy Linux

Tiny Core Linux

Slackware

Or if you are horny for compiling Gentoo 😀 😀 😀

OH OH and windows 98 with tweaks.

Check this video out to see what I mean -
