How do you deal with impatient members who don't want to wait for their question to be answered, a ticket to be resolved, something to be done to their account, etc... ?
I try to be friendly and remind them that we're all volunteering on the forum.
I also put in the messaging that it might take 24 hours. I subscribe to the help forum so that I get emails to go to it quicker when new content comes up on it.
If they get too impatient and rude, I'll pause their ability to post and deal with it in a Private Message. If they can change their attitude, they can have their posting pause lifted.
It's important to take the negativity out of the public as quickly as possible IMO.
There is in Xenforo forum a feature for example instead of last message to bump a thread so date of create so even someone bump an old thread that is from 3 years ago then it stays at his place or even if bumping his thread it will never bump. Most of people in Xenforo panel puts thing by last message that leads to problem.
I will simply ignore them until I'm ready to treat the case they have open a ticket for. In all sincerity, I wouldn't take too long to attend to their issues. Max I would take is going to be 24 hours. If they can't chill out for that during, all they can do is rant.
In most cases, those impatient members end up leaving as they can't wait they leave 😛 Or impatient members start sending PMS and won't stop picking you till you scream 😛 - I run a site that doesn't need tickets or one on one help 😛
Just think right we all get impatient and so what makes us get so impatient while waiting or whatever we are doing at the time
