Impersonating Me Online

So a person has been impersonating me online and has been posting as me on big drug websites spamming AdminBB's link, using my full name and mostly my last name. I already know who it is and I have decent proof of it being that person but I will be kind and not mention who he is. Someone has given me advice to contact the local police.

I would have never thought of this, but if you think about it, impersonating someone is completely illegal and is a way of harassment and is considered fraud. He is giving out my private personal information such as my name, but most importantly using it to spam AdminBB's link on drug websites. If you guys got any advice, im listening 🙂

I can't think of any solution for this. But that's really a bad approach.

I dont give out my personal information either, but the person who did this knew my full name because we have had a history.. hes a member here on FP.

Get your local police station to get the spammers ip address by contacting the website, then you can submit them to stopforumspam and all other websites you are apart of 🙂

Yea, I plan to too, but the person may have used a proxy, But I still have proof 😉

I would contact the authorities instead of posting around about it. Take your proof to them and end it.

1. IGNORE HIM!!! This normally makes the situation go under the sand and it will stop.

If not then I would contact the police although they most likely wont do anything and I know from been there before.

I don't see any reason for Kaiser to ignore him. This guy is threatening Kaiser's reputation not only online, but in the real world as well. If Kaiser goes and looks for a job, employers may very well see such things like this. It's all bad for his forum's reputation, and puts the forum at risk of possibly spam?

I suggest contacting the police.

No, its not a normal forum. Its a very big website, big like 4chan and gaia. When you report something they said it will take 3-5 business days but they have completely avoided it.

We had a chat with someone at the police station over the phone so they told us to come down. And me and my mom will go down there tomorrow and see what we can do about this.

I dont because it wasnt on my site, it was on www.topix.com in their valium drug section
