Actually this has happened to me on my first forum I made.

Someone pretended to be me...on my own forum.

Nah, but it actually sounds fun to do it... only instead of doing it with a proxy use a combo of a header editor and a cracked open copy of Tor (or some other VPN-like service) and spoof your signup IP. If you did that with an admin's IP and spammed porn everywhere, the other admin would ban the IP and the admin would be locked out

Admins rarely IP ban, and as they are so easy to get round, even if he did ban his own IP. He'd just reset it or use a proxy to access his forum again, login to his ACP and unban his IP.

You could use it to get people in trouble though.
