Im moving to vbulletin very soon. I wondered if anyone has used this and how they found it. Im moving my old members and forums over. Theirs not alot but i feel if i dont do it this way members wont re-register. Then in effect die bfore it was reborn.

Nice. Thanks for the letting me know. I dont want to buy vbulletin and find i cant do impex and lose everything. Id have to add everything to the galleries again but im not bothered as long as the cms installs fine onto vb.

Not sure f there is a shop for vb but i am using the credits system at the moment. needs to be configured though.
I used impex several times and i find its very easy to use the only think that it doesn't do is the permissions of the forums -(-

I may have to use this soon to merge 2 vB forums together.

My main question is, is it possible to get the threads in the off topic forum of one and put them in the off topic forum of the other? Like, you can choose where sections are placed. Because if they are merged, the 800 odd threads in this one forum are gonna be scattered all over the bigger forum. That's gonna take weeks to tidy up and sort out.
Also, members. There are members of one forum that are registered on the other forum with the same username. What will happen here? Will there be two accounts? Will the accounts be merged together.

forums: all the forums will be placed underneath the current forum, so it may take you awhile o move topics etc.
users: you have an option to merge users whith the same email account also which is quite handy, if they have the same name and different email address they won't be merged you will just get
username and imported_username, when you have finished you can just merge imported_username to username
