I want to put in a new theme on my forum, unfortunately we have lots of edits on the current theme and would take forever to do them all. Any way to quickly put all of the edits on the new theme?

Well what forum host are you using? That is rather key. And what admin panel? cPanel? Mybb? Please inform us with more information.

Any suggestion would probably just complicate it, because it's already simple enough, as long as you know what edits you made you can just repeat it on the new theme.

That's one of the main problems I have found with phpbb3 is adding a new theme and then having to deal with getting the mods to work. Best of luck to you.

Quite easy to be honest.

You got several options.

1. Make a new css based theme that uses the same templates as the current one.

2. Make a new css based theme that uses some of the templates as the current one but has customized templates that are not the same of the current theme you use now.

3. Copy your current theme and edit on the go.

Could u just copy the edits on our current theme and then paste it onto the new theme?

You could do it. If you want to be able to do more on your own then you should take initiative on trying first before asking your admin.

Nothing can go wrong can it? 🙂

Every theme is a little different so you might run into issues here and there(that's the same reason why AutoMOD doesn't work that well on highly modified themes). But honestly if your tech admin knows what they're doing then you probably won't have to much trouble.

And honestly since you started this thread you could have done it all manually by now.
