Yep, and encouraged. The marketplace can still be used to buy and sell goods and services for cash. We just don't allow buying or selling of things like FP$, reputation points, exchange feedback.Question: Are posts/topic exchanges for USD$ directly still permitted?

They did say that they will increase the amount or at least I think what I read regards they gotta do good amount of content and things to earn FP$ It's easy if they are willing to be active..Well yeah, of course it's easier to buy stuff when you have more to spend.
