So I asked for support on hawkhost and got it, they managed to restore my site on there server. But the board is closed like it should be and I try to log in to do the work I had planned. Bu it says it failed to log in each time. Then when I go via file manager to inc/settings.php to open the board. I click save, then go to the C&C board and click Forum Team and by surprise I see my admin username not in there only Bob that of my partner.
So what is this ? how to fix? Should I get an other directory backup and mybb database of my old cPanel and restore them on the hawkhost cPanel ?
Edit: It seems my account is also gone on my old site, I mean wtf ?
From what I understood by reading your post, your admin account is missing? Are you able to create a new account? If so, you could give it admin permissions via phpMyAdmin and enter admin cp.
I've just started using MyBB recently so I'm still learning. If the other admin has access to admin CP then he could activate user's account by going to Users & Groups and editing your account.
Another option is to go phpMyAdmin -> dabatase you use for your forum -> table mybb_users -> change your usergroup to 4 which is the group of admins. I can't guarantee that it will certainly work but if you have a backup you might try this as well.
