I delete all of the inactive members because they look horrible on your board. I delete them once every couple of months. 🙂fiona1964 said:What do you do with inactive members ?
Do you keep them so your forum looks like it has lots of members or do you delete them ?
If you delete them how long after they join do you delete them ?
Yeah that's true. 😛 BUT it might be a spam bot or just a regular but that you can delete.Ashley said:We keep them. Not to make the forum look like it has lots of members (we aren't greedy, that's for sure!) but simply the fact of the matter being that we don't like to delete member accounts because you never know when a person will want to come back again someday.
Exactly what I meant. 😀paine said:I delete accounts that have 0 post and accounts that haven't been logged into for 4 months
I take this into consideration and add users to the "prune" list one by one. Users who register and never login get axed, users who login frequently and never post get to stick around... but have to deal with the "Your account is pending deletion" PM's.Fergal said:I don't know of a really good reason to delete them, hence I don't. We sometimes have members come back to our business forum, after not having posted for quite some time. Plus people join and then browse the forum without posting on it - that is good for the community, why should we delete their accounts?
