Indefinite Detention

By the Senate. Obama will not sign it and the Senate does not have enough votes (currently) to override the veto.

I just hope the EU makes it as I'm really reconsidering my plans of going to college in Europe and then moving back to America, best to skip that last part it seems...

It's absurd if any similar bills should be passed. A bill that would introduce "indefinite" detention, will allow the breaking of way too many moral(humane) by the enforcer. They can practically do anything, without prior cause or reason.

Now do you guys believe me when I say that Obama isn't a liberal? He's now put himself to the right of Dubya (on this issue, anyway).

Actually, OBAMA is the one who came up with it. It was HIS idea from what I understand.
If you are familiar with US politics, you would know that a sitting President cannot directly introduce a bill into Congress.
And Obama is 100% against it.

I think the reported skewed his words a little bit. But whatever shady crap Obama was pulling, I'm against.

I don't. I think he is a liberal who tries to charm everybody, but takes actions that please neither party.

The Euro isn't the currency in every single EU country.

I am well aware of that, seeing as I live in Britain. If the Euro collapses, it has a knock on affect and everyone in the EU will be effected in one way or another.

Yup but to me things still seem better with that than living in the states. Cheap/free Uni + less of a chance of dying because capitalists want to make money off of healthcare = good enough for me

Cost of living is much higher in Europe.

Yeah, because standards of living are higher, + government aid.

And I'm thinking of either going to uni in Holland or Poland. Poland doesn't have the euro and It would barely cost me anything at all but I love Amsterdam so dunno lol

Ahh cool 🙂 I suggest amsterdam purely because I think the language is easier to learn xD

Well I mean I already know Polish fluently, just still need to brush up on my writing but yeah Dutch seems pretty easy to learn for an English speaker lol.

The possibility that he's liberal inside his mind doesn't really mean anything when he's fighting for things that even Dubya wouldn't. Don't get me wrong; he's definitely more liberal than Republicans, but he's not what I would call a true liberal.
