My simple list on how to get indexed on Google within 24 hours.
  1. Adjust your meta tags and description, regardless of what people say.
  2. Submit your site to 3 web directories or topsites with PR2 .
  3. Have content but not too much. Be sure to add more each day.
  4. Make use of the SEO and SERP tips here.
  5. Get a Twitter and post your link there. Be sure to get followers.
  6. Now you should be complete. You can also do things like Digg submissions etc.

There may be things which you are deadset against, but hey, it worked for me so why can't it work for you as well?

Good tip! Thanks 🙂
No worries.

I may create an unthreaded forum just for comments if I decide to create a large guide and separate the sections.

Nice tips bro , well help me a lot for promoting my upcoming forum .

Good guide, but I usually just put my link on the footer of all my forums and it gets indexed the next day. 🙂

Ah, but the thing is not everyone has 2-3 forums or domains.

Thank you 🙂

Shouldn't worry too much about content, have as much as you want so long as it's consistent. It's all about the links, it's how Google finds you. Better links, faster index.

Yeah, thanks Traygon.

I forgot to say that adding a site map (XML) is very beneficial to getting your site up there. Easily spidered and your links will be indexed faster.

That whole site map thing. I keep hearing about it but don't even know what it is. Yeah, I'm out of it XD

Its actually something quite easy to understand. For example, FP; A very simple site map would be like:

FP Home Page
-Link to Home
-Link to Forum
-Link to Twitter
-Link to Services

Forum
-Link to Site Info
--Link to News Center
--Link to CM
--Link to New to FP?
-Link to Ads and Services

...

And so on. Its basically a text version of the links of your site. Can be lengthy or short, but its easier of bots and spiders to crawl your site to get worthy links.
