How do you deal with members who are obviously inebriated? Do you temporarily ban them if they get out of control or do you use Mod Queue? Or just let them get it out of their system?

I had a friend on a large Christian forum who would post things while drunk, and then message me apologizing and asking for the posts to be removed. That was over a decade ago and we're still online friends, but now he can't drink anymore due to his health.
I would end up banning most my community. I'm always under the influence whether it's marijuana, or beers.

If the member is adding valuable content and entertaining threads/posts that don't break our rules then I don't really mind. However, if they are out of control and being disrespectful or spamming the boards then I'd give them a warning and possibly ban them for a short amount of time. If this was an ongoing issue then yes, a permanent ban would be issued.
Weed is legal in Canada and other places in the world and I'm not going to be upset if someone is posting under the influence, it's only when their posts/threads are harmful to the forum that I must step in.
