Inspiron 1545 internal mic isn't working :\

My mic worked fine before, now it sucks. It doesn't record. I went into the sound device manager, it showed it picking up sound but it doesn't play it, and when I press "Listen to device" it rings really annoyingly.

Check if a mini jack is broken inside the output of the card. I have seen this to a friend of mine where his brother broke a mini jack inside and the half jack left inside! ( I know it sound crazy but it's true)

What do you mean? Mine is a laptop and is built into the screen.

You can try running a Windows system restore to a time when your mic worked, or reinstalling an older version of your sound card driver if you or Windows Update recently updated your sound card driver or your sound card driver software got broken.

Thats the problem, it broke like 8 months ago and Dell.com doesn't have the mic driver :\
