I'm having trouble installing AutoMOD for my phpBB3 forum.

Can anyone Install it for me? I'll give you all the details you need and give you 100FPs.

My Advice dont install it. use a phpBB mod install service instead as you will get mods install without any trouble and also get 100% support with it.

Just ftp info, plus an admin account.

If you really are sure you want Automod.

I don't find anything wrong with it, but I am going to start using the manual install since I'm going to have a few mods. If you're only going to have a couple, AutoMOD is fine.

AutoMOD is fine if your using the default phpBB3 theme or a close derivative of it, however, very customized themes, such as FP, would not respond well with AutoMOD. AutoMOD is built upon prosilver/subsilver's coding and so if a theme has a restructuring in coding then AutoMOD will not usually detect the necessary coding and even if it does, reversing the process may be a big challenge.

Any phpBB3 database MOD will respond fine with AutoMOD and a close derivative of the phpBB3 default theme. Just depends on the theme.

AutoMOD will only edit the defaulot style ( Prosilver/Sub-silver) if you have another theme you will have to do the style edits yourself, it can be quite challenging in big MODs.

As said before, it fails completely with some styles like the Acidtech ones, there are a host of "can't finds" in those. Saying that you will encounter the same problems doing a manual install.

Please explain why? All phpBB styles are either prosilver or subsilver based so long as you know what the custom style is based on (not hard to tell) you just follow the very simple instructions, sometimes editing it to get it looking right is needed but most admins tweak their styles anyway.

Take a look at the overall_header for a style like aciddtech doing manual installs in there requires you to search for parts of lines because of alterations to the core code.

There are also some large MODS like Ultimate points which have "Cannot Finds" that require more than a little know how.
