Installing Google Analytics

I want wondering how to install google analytics on my MyBB forum?
Can someone please write all the steps and details?
I looked at the page with the instructions but I didn't really understand everything, can someone clear this up?

You sign up for Google Analytics, and they give you a bit of code or a file to upload (if I remember correctly). They usually have an instruction page along with it when you first start using it.

To add on to what J Grieg said, I'd recommend only adding the Analytics to the index template, and you add it right before the </head> tag. You can add it to all pages with the headerinclude, but that can really make your stats deceiving.

Not necessarily. You would get five pageviews if people viewed five different PM's, but that says nothing about how many people are actually landing on your site.
