Let's Encrypto is a free SSL certificate provider. You can use Let's Encrypt if your hosting providers support this free SSL. If your host does not provide support for Let's Encrypt, you will have to use it on your own. Do you use Let's Encrypt on your forum or other premium certificates? How much do you pay for your SSL?

Your hosting provider has to offer it now. Aren't like they have a choice. Most hosting providers that we are aware of all offer it 🙂 So why do you think that they won't offer it unless it's a cheap provider?

Plus it's free anyway for the basic edition. Most sites do not pay for it like we used to 😛

They are a good option for individuals or organizations that want to secure their website with SSL, but don't want to pay for a certificate. Some well-known providers of free SSL certificates include Let's Encrypt and Cloudflare. These providers offer free SSL certificates that are just as secure as paid certificates, and they can be used to secure websites in the same way that paid certificates can.

To get a free SSL certificate, you will typically need to use a tool that automates the process of generating and installing the certificate. This can be a simple process, and many hosting providers and content management systems (CMSs) now offer built-in support for generating and installing free SSL certificates.

There are some limitations to free SSL certificates that you should be aware of. For example, they may only be valid for a certain period of time (e.g. 90 days), after which you will need to renew the certificate. Additionally, some free SSL certificate providers may place limits on the types of websites that are eligible for a free certificate. However, for most individuals and small organizations, free SSL certificates provide a simple and cost-effective way to secure their websites.

I have everything running through Cloudflare, even moved my domains there.
DNS movement is in the minutes when you need to make a change plus, they don't profit from domains; you get them at cost.😛

I have shared hosting from namecheap, namecheap does not offer support Let's Encrypt.

One of the reasons I moved away from NameCheap. They're great for domains but their hosting is poor and their obvious cash grab to not support Let's Encrypt sucks. I use Digital Ocean which uses the command line tool Certbot for easy LE installation.

Do you want to use Let's Encrypt?
Yes, I want to use let's Encrypt on my forum.

After using namecheap for 7 years, I am beginning to think to move to another web host.

I use Namecheap for domains only too. It's great for that, but their webhosting was not the best.

I remember seeing an option to enter Let's Encrypt credentials in Namecheap.

I can use Let's Encrypt with Namecheap hosting manually but they don provide support for Let's Encrypt. I have been using Namecheap for a long time but have never seen an option for entering Let's Encrypto credentials.

When you start your hosting then the hoster will purpose to you a list of extensions of SSL some of them are paid while some others are free but the majority of hosters include in hosting SSL package as HTTP sites are dead.
