How do we do this? I would like to do it on my own but I don't know how. Does anyone have a tutorial with pics on it? I would appreciate it 🙂

You forgot the most important first instruction, "back up all your files" before doing anything.

Also I prefer to do this with an FTP client such as Firezilla, much simpler than going through cPanel.

Also you should install AutoMOD, you can now upload zipped files straight to AuoMOD, no need to unpack them.

AutoMOD itself is very easy to install, less than five minutes even for a noob.

Your tutorial is already very light on instructions, if he/she cannot install a MOD, how do you expect them to find their way away around CPanel ?

and wolfy that's for phpbb2.

and sapper. Yes i noticed that.

You like prefer to use FTP client. Not everyone does

The auto mod is vary buggy. you'll be lucky to install 5 mods with out a problem. The auto mod is what the newbs use and because its so buggy they give up and move on to mybb or an other forum software.

I didn't notice i deleted backup your files and your database before anything.

And i said it no were 100% complete

I've used AutoMOD for about 10 mods now without any real problems, what people have a probelm with is not AutoMOD but the edits, After a few MODS Auto MOD has difficulty finding the original code if it has been altered.
By the time this happen noobs, should be able to use find and replace wiht relative ease, even if they learn how to do it manually, they will stil encounter the same problems AutoMOD throws up,

We all have preference as to which Editor and the like to use, I prefer an FTP client because it is easier to see what is going on, I would also recommend Dreamweaver above Notepad or Notepad++ to do the edits, but as I say this is personal preference.
