Hello,

Which one is better? Intel or AMD CPU? I mean just in general which of the two is better.

If we are talking about factory i'd take AMD any day, if it's gonna be overclocked I'd go with Intel chips.

I think AMD is generally better because they don't come with onboard graphics, so you are just paying for the CPU, and not also paying extra money for onboard graphics chips on the CPU which you may not be using if you choose to buy a video card for your desktop computer.

I will also vote for AMD for high end multi tasking and high end gaming processors. AMD is more reliable compared to Intel in the long run.

Intel is the best when it comes to CPUs. AMD has recently had a large crash which was reported on reddit on both AMD and Nvidia reddit pages.

AMD CPUs are good in a sense of price but even the best CPU for AMD is still far behind most of the Intel CPUs. I have a i7-4790K (4.0Ghz) CPU and the best AMD is still only can compare to most i5 Intel processor. They have a lot of catching up to do to really be competitive agasint Intel. My first computer build had an AMD processor and I know from experience how far behind AMD truely is.

AMD only benefit is due to being cheap, but remember the saying. You get what you pay for. Just because it is cheap doesn't mean thats a good thing. Sometimes you're better off spending more.
