Internet Archive Wayback Machine

Here's the very first time Mighty No. 9 Universe was captured, not long after I moved from prophpbb to self hosting actually. I was a complete noob to owning a forum at the time, let alone a phpBB forum.

Here's a very broken Adminchill.com, my old admin forum. I forgot I was using UBB.Threads for that forum too. :V

I love looking at websites when they were in the 90s and early 2000s. Even a lot of mine from back then. It brings back memories, back when running forums and sites was a lot easier.

I have a list of every domain I've ever owned, too. I occasionally go back and see them.

Just for fun, yeah, but to any sites

I've used Wayback hundreds of times and searched Archive.org thousands of times, but I've never saved a snapshot of anything.

I love looking at the sites that I used to visit in the 1990s and early 2000s, but sometimes it brings about some sadness as well. The Internet is truly a different place now, and it's certainly not all for the better.

I do, but we've had one url change over the years. That's because when I started my Transformers board I didn't really give the URL much thought (Early 200's) so just named it after the current tv show of the franchise at the time Armada. I didn't even spell it right and it had a typ so it was "armarda' with and extra 'r".

Here's our first until 2009:

https://web.archive.org/web/20260000000000*/http://tfarmarda.proboards10.com/

And are one from there on after:

https://web.archive.org/web/20260000000000*/https://totaltransformers.proboards.com/

Been looking at my own sites and just about all of the snips can't even load the site ;p

It works in away

I've saved snapshots of my forum many times over the years! I try to do it whenever there is an anniversary or event happening because I know I might want to look back at it on those days. I wish I had more archives back before we lost the original forums on the free forum host. 🙁

I had no clue Poliwager started on Freeforums.org! It's a shame they were acquired by Tapatalk... I had a pretty popular admin forum hosted on there.

Wow, nice! Yeah, the forums were started before I had bought hosting for the main website and we migrated after that, but I wasn't able to save the old forums' posts, unfortunately. I wish there were still sites like that around for quickly making a forum, but as far as I know there aren't any good ones anymore.

Forum Spark is the best free forum host. 😉 So there are some decent ones left. I like self hosting better though, but one of my forums is hosted on Forum Spark.

I don’t usually save one, but I do visit it every year or two to reminisce on old sites I used to visit when they were around.
