Internet Explorer

I'm scared to even open IE; I'm afraid spyware will leap into my computer.

It's already on there from there from those sites you visit.

if it's about speed;
the browser u use the most, stores cookies/cache so it may seem that it is the quickest (even if the browser is IE)..
the speed of your net has got NOTHING to do with the browser u'r using xP
atleast thats how I think it is...
The start up time of your browser has no effect on how cookies and the browser cache. The speed of your internet doesn't change but the time it takes to gather it all together and precess it all and show you the page is different depending on your browser.

IE Fails... Takes to long to open and it has like zero extra features.

Long Live FireFox!

I don't want addons Zak just want to open all the pages I visit in one go and it does that where others don't.
It is one thing opening the pages but it is another thing loading the pages to display correctly and not exposing you and making you more likely to get attacked 😉

They display completely correctly for me and as they are all guarded by full AVG protection I have no worries there.

Still, wouldnt you rather extra protection, IE can easily be screwed and make you download files loaded with viruses, and a lot of coders know IE does not follow web standards, so a lot of websites dont display correctly unless the creator made a stylesheet for IE.

IMO, Internet Explorer is the worst web browser available. It is slow to load up in the first place, then it takes about 5 seconds to load a new tab when you open one, and then when you click a link, it thinks about it before it starts to load a page. Beyond that, it doesn't display everything that a modern browser does, or at least not correctly. So it's a major pain to have to develop your site for two different browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer and all other browsers).

I heard it's now better then FireFox, but I haven't really tried it lately.

yep, a new IE is coming out and its gonna take down all web browsers... it got the highest test score for against CSS3.. so yeah it gonna be popular xD
However a new google chrome is also coming out... a webrowser that acts like a platform... google chrome OS 🙂
and its gonna store ALL your memory on the net so that your PC doesn't run out of free space... so basically its gonna rock even more

we'll just have to wait and see...

I would like IE if it didn't freeze all the time..amongst other things.
It's only use in this house is for downloading FireFox. XD

Nah. :shake: I dont use IE because it is prone to viruses. I use Google Chrome and Firefox 🙂 :great:

I used to use as my default browser along time ago, but now I use Firefox, but I still have to use IE in school.

IE might as well be a virus and spy ware attractor. I use Firefox in school. There was a way to get past the whole school system to use Firefox. My teacher showed my how.

Internet Explorer 9 Beta is a great improvement from IE8 and older version when I tested it out. IE 9 is faster when opening pages with lots of javascript, flash, widgets, and crashes less then IE 8 and older versions.

Ummmm no!!! The only thing IE is good for is those certain stupid sites that ONLY work with IE.

Other then that Opera all the way!!!! 🙂
