Come and Slack with us!

A big part of communication for the Forum Promotion Staff is Slack, we use it, we love it and it's served us so well that we've decided to open up a second workspace so everyone in the community can join us!

If you've never used Slack before, this is the perfect chance to get involved and learn the ropes! This Community Slack is casual, it's about having a chat with fellow webmasters, enthusiasts and so on. No obligation, no criteria to join just be a member here and you're set!

How do you join? PM either @PGen98 or @Noble and will provide you the link you need to join in! We're not openly posting the link so we can ensure it's just members joining in 🙂
 
OH and for those who haven't used Slack before, you can use it through your browser if you don't want to have an app on your phone.

And you might want to turn off Notifications for the night when you sleep or you'll be hearing that ding ding ding all night.

Just be members 😛 well, that's easy as we are members hahahahha - We are in people and lets get started 😛

Be cool to see what group colours that they get 🙂 I would open up more things to allow people to use Discord to chat about things, open up the new ways of doing things

We're working on as many ways as possible to make sure everyone can have some way to interact no matter where they are or what they use 🙂

Pass, why not have a chat box on the forum itself?

I think moving conversation away from a forum doesn't make much sense when the community is already here. It just creates fragmentation. Never liked Discord / Slack communities for forums.

We briefly had a chatbox here on FP and it didn't really work out as well as we had hoped.

One reason to use Slack is because if a member gets locked out of his account and he's logged into Slack using the same email account that he uses on FP, it's an easy verify to get that member back in.

It doesn't work that well, We used to have it many years ago and not many people used it, even myself and those that did wanted to use it for advertisement or easy way to get help than reading the topics/posts
