I have a Pandigital Novel 7'' black version (2GB)
It says I have 1.28GB's free of space.
BUT when I try to download and install apps it says I have used all my space.
Is there a problem?
Memory leak?
Anyone know how to check which is right?

I'm not sure, but I think the Android operating system have two sections on the memory card. One section is for the Android OS and system Apps, and the other section is for storing your downloads and files like documents, photos, video, and music.

My best guest is the system section of your memory is all used up, and the file storage section is the section with free space for storing files.

That would explain it.
Does anyone know where the installed apps(APK's) are stored?

Most likely to the System Section since most operating system install programs/apps on the system section/drive. I think your Tablet might be set to install Apps on the System section instead of the file storage section which is larger?

How would I check space in other places?
I can only see space in file folder PD_Novel.

In Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you can go in to the settings, applications and check how much free space your system, and internal SD memory card, but not sure it is the same for older versions of Android.

You can install a program called File Expert to manually manage and explore your files and folders in Android : http://www.androidzoom.com/android_appl ... _inck.html

You can try emptying your Android and other web browsers temporary internet files, history, and downloads folder in the settings of your mobile browsers to free up space.
